The Civic Type R buying experience is a joke. So I got the itch to shop for cars today looking to purchase in the next few weeks. I test drove several cars including a Focus RS, STI, and a S4. Everything was great until the Honda dealers. After going to 3 dealers none of them would let me sit in the Type R which is comical. For one reason or another, almost all the Honda Civic Type Rs ever made are appreciating. The original is experiencing the swell in values enjoyed by so many great Japanese cars of the 1990s; the The Civic Type R FN2 had a more striking body shell than the EP3, which some found to be too heavy, and its performance and handling were criticized at launch. The FN2 received a minor update with the launch of the ‘Championship White’ edition in 2008, which added a limited-slip differential.
