As for the TV portal that is available with firmware update 1.02.20 - and the box came with 1.02.07 installed (a January 2011 update). So downloaded onto a USB stick - but the Humax couldn’t see my USB stick.

The custom firmware does not affect the normal day-to-day operation of the HD-/HDR-FOX through the on-screen menus, instead it provides additional ways to manage the recordings etc on disk through a web browser interface ("WebIF") and direct access to the Humax operating system (including diagnostic and maintenance commands added by the CF - When the update is complete End will appear on the front display and Success Downloading! will appear on the TV - Unplug the USB Flash Device and delete the HD_FOX_T2_Upgrade.hdf file - Reconnect a USB Flash / Hard Disk drive formatted in EXT2 / EXT3 - Press the power button on the front to restart with the new firmware. Note:

Dec 16, 2013. #4. Sounds like this is similar to what I have in mind. I have a Humax Foxsat-HDR, with Raydon's firmware v4.1.2 installed (fantastic, thanks Raydon!) I want to put a new 1tb drive into the pvr, and the original 500gb, now 97% full, into an external SATA hd housing to playback existing recordings.

Ex Member. Apr 6, 2013. #1. I have had my Humax HD-FOX T2 for ages and only just found out it can record via USB. I have updated it to the latest firmware and just formatted a 8GB USB stick to Fat32 to test it before ordering a larger one. It reads the stick fine but it just wont record!!!
Where the Humax excels, though, is in its extra functionality that's integrated into it. There’s DLNA and USB media playback already - though so far only standard definition AVI files. A forthcoming update is set to improve the range of playback formats the HD-FOX T2 supports, as well as adding access to Sky Player.
The HDR-FOX uses an internal HDD for recording and media storage, and has additional capabilities over the HD-FOX. The obvious means to transfer data to and from an HDR-FOX is via the USB interface to external storage. The HDR-FOX provides two USB ports (one on the front panel, the other on the rear below the Ethernet port), so has far less Dump/Flash Files. A dump file or Flash file is a boot information data with software/program of an electronic device which is located at EEPROM or Flash IC or Memory IC of that device. The main processor/Microcontroller retrieves the information from memory ic when it is powered on to know how to work/boot. If the Flash IC/Memory IC is damaged z53kVb2.
