Sound stuff with kinect is processed in the module it's self before being sent to the main console. The headset is tied to the console, not the kinect. btw this also works on the PS4 if you have the PS camera (i do not and wish i got the Xbox one copy of this game now since i have a kinect)

Voice commands still work for me.and these, along with Xbox fitness and the ir blaster in the Kinect are what really sold me on Kinect. Honestly don't think I'd enjoy the system as much without Kinect. And ya, Xbox fitness technically works without Kinect now but all the features that sold me on xb fitness wont work without Kinect.
