There are not even instructions for how to assemble it (I figured it out) but taking it apart seems impossible. The adjustable height vertical pole seems to snap into the base (no screws) but I can't figure out how to remove it for shipping without breaking it.
1.Disengage the latches securing the stand cover. 2.Remove the stand cover from the main cover assembly. 3.Remove the 4screws securing the stand to the main assembly. 6.Release the plastic tabs from the back cover with a prying tool to separate from main assembly. 7.Detach the back cover from the main assembly.

January 2013 in 2013 Archives. I have an X223W monitor from which I want to totally remove the stand in order to attch an arm. The lower portion of the stand slips easily out of the socket. However the upper portion is screwed on the back of the monitor. The bracket with screws are not accessible without removing what seems some plastic inserts. Please review the photos to ensure that you understand how it is mounted. The VESA adapter attaches to the original monitor stand (without the base).
